What to include in a found-cat report

- Date and approximate time found.
- Colour, breed or likely breed, eye colour, collar and other identifying features.
Help the family verify ownership
Keep some unique details private where practical. Ask a claimant for reasonable proof such as older photographs, distinctive marks or vaccination information before arranging a handover.
